Peewee Dairy Queen Trappers capture NDHL Championship!

North Bay Dairy Queen Trappers capped off a successful weekend with another ‘Golden Moment’ by capturing the NDHL Peewee House League ‘Super Sunday’ Championship.

In round robin play they defeated Mattawa (5-0), tied Kirkland Lake (2-2) and beat Verner (5-1). Ending up in 1st place and confirming their spot in Sunday’s Gold Medal game.

Playing a tough squad from Kirkland Lake, the Dairy Queen Trappers had a great defensive team effort. When the final buzzer sounded, the Trappers were declared NDHL Champions with a 4-2 win.

Zach Seguin-Hutchison scored 3 goals in the final game along with a lone tally from Calder Ruddy. Also contributing another solid performance in nets was Ryan Morin. All three players playing in the second and final year of Peewee along with Jackson Boal and Ezra Saunders.

Coaching Staff is Wayde Smith, Craig Wallace, Glen Couvrette, Trainer Kris Brunet and Manager Rhonda Ruddy.
